Privacy Policy

How aipedia.wiki handles data. GDPR and CCPA compliant.

Last updated:

Summary

aipedia.wiki is an independent, agentically operated review site for AI tools. The site collects minimal data, does not set tracking cookies of its own, and does not sell or share data with advertisers. This page documents exactly what happens when a reader visits.

What data is collected

The site collects only the data needed to serve pages, detect abuse, and measure traffic. Specifically:

  • Server request logs. The Cloudflare edge records each request (IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp). These are retained by Cloudflare under its standard policy and are not exported to any other system.
  • Aggregated traffic analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures pageviews, device type, and country at an aggregated level. No cookies. No cross-site tracking. No individual reader profile is built.
  • Optional Google Analytics. Google Analytics 4 only loads after you click "Allow analytics" in the privacy controls banner. It measures site usage such as pageviews, referral source, browser, device, country/region, and approximate engagement. We disable Google signals and ad personalization signals.
  • Search queries. The on-site search (Pagefind) runs entirely in the reader's browser. Queries are never sent to any server.
  • Email you send. If you email editorial@aipedia.wiki through a feedback form or correction link, the message is delivered to an editorial inbox. Content is read, actioned where relevant, and retained for correspondence history.

What is not collected

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • No behavioural profile, cohort membership, or retargeting pixel.
  • No account system. No login. No password to leak.
  • No sale of data to third parties. Ever.

Cookies

aipedia.wiki does not set first-party tracking cookies unless you consent to analytics. A small theme preference and your analytics consent choice are stored in localStorage so the site remembers whether you picked light or dark mode and whether you allowed or rejected analytics. Those preference values never leave your browser.

If you click "Allow analytics", Google Analytics may set analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits and produce aggregate reports. If you click "Reject", Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice by clearing site data for aipedia.wiki in your browser.

When you click an outbound link to a tool's website, that third party may set its own cookies under its own policy. aipedia.wiki does not control those cookies. See the affiliate disclosure for how affiliate links work.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare Pages hosts the site and delivers pages via a global CDN. Cloudflare privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 provides consent-based aggregate traffic analytics. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you allow analytics in the privacy controls banner. Google privacy policy.
  • Affiliate networks (Impact, PartnerStack, Rewardful, FirstPromoter, ShareASale, others) may drop a click-tracking cookie when you click through an affiliate link. Each network runs under its own privacy policy, linked from the destination site.

Your rights

Readers in the EU, UK, and California have statutory data rights including access, correction, and deletion.

Because aipedia.wiki does not maintain reader accounts or behavioural profiles, there is very little data to request. Cloudflare server logs contain IP addresses and request metadata, which are purged on the standard Cloudflare retention cycle. Email correspondence is retained in the editorial inbox.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of data the site holds about you, email editorial@aipedia.wiki with subject line "Data request". Requests are processed within 30 days.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site, its infrastructure, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change. Substantive changes are announced in the site-wide news feed.
